The “Cantine de Barmaz” is the ideal place for your summer walks.
Here, no power lines that distort the landscape, we self-produce our energy, a real return to nature! You will find yourself in the middle of pastures strewn with hundreds of flowers, crossed by the torrents surrounded by a green forest.
The majestic “Dents Blanches” (2756m) massif dominates this enchanting setting. And you can see in the distance the high alpine peaks of the “Dents du Midi” (3257m) as well as the eternal snows of the Ruans glacier. From August to October, you will have the opportunity to contemplate the aerial ballet formed by the thousands of migrating birds that stop at the “Col de Cou” and “Bretolet” (1h30 walk from the cantine).
But animation is everywhere, it does not come only from the sky. Take the time to observe the richness of the wildlife. Wild boars, badgers, deer, hares, and foxes will be your closest neighbors. In the month of September you can listen to the roar of the deer from your room.
At night, the plateau is one of the few sites without light pollution, ideal for watching the Milky Way or shooting stars.
No dogs.
